Air-conditioning Systems

The MEQ Difference | Comfort

Comfortable Environments through World-class Technologies

Clean air, optimum temperature distribution and silent operation...
MEQ

MEQ has led to the development of state-of-the-art air purification and deodorization filters that remove unwanted odors and impurities in the air. Original airflow technologies and specially designed components provide even temperature distribution -- even in remote regions of a room. At Mitsubishi Electric, comfort doesn't simply mean cool or warm, it means clean and quiet too.

Clean Air

 Plasma Duo Filter System

The Plasma Deodorizing Filter deodorizes, decomposes and eliminates harmful substances at the nanometer level. It removes the most unpleasant of odors including ammonia, methyl mecaptan, trimethylamine and hydrogen sulfide, allowing the circulation of fresh, clean air back into the room. The Plasma Air Purifying Filter collects house dust, pollen and other irritating substances. It has disinfecting and antiviral effects, and generates negative ions, which have a soothing and relaxing effect on people.

 Catechin Filter

A filter developed using catechin, a bioflavonoid in green tea with antiviral/antioxidant qualities, features deodorization and anti-bacterial properties that last up to 10 years or more with proper maintenance.

 Anti-allergy Enzyme Filter

This optional anti-allergen filter uses artificial enzymes to decompose dead mites, pollen and other allergens commonly found in room air, creating a cleaner, healthier air supply.

Optimum Temperature Distribution

 Specially Designed Horizontal Vanes

The horizontal vanes are configured to improve airflow control and contribute to even temperature distribution. Different positions for heating and cooling modes create refreshing airflows that enhance comfort.

 i-see Sensor

No temperature gap goes unnoticed with the new "i-see Sensor". A search range of up to 150° wide allows the sensor to automatically locate temperature discrepancies and redirect airflow as needed; keeping all corners of even the most spacious rooms comfortable.

 Area Setting

Waste-free energy savings in heating and cooling operations is possible with the press of a single button. Effective heating or cooling of the target area (right or left side of a room) is provided when the Area Setting feature is activated.

Silent Operation

Indoor Units

 Ultra-silent 21dB Operation

Our indoor units are some of the quietest in the industry, operating at a noise level of as low as 21dB. To put that into perspective, consider that background noise in a library is 30dB. Innovations like the multi-angled heat exchanger, modified fin shape and large-diameter fan have increased efficiency while allowing greater airflow volume to be pushed through at lower speeds. The introduction of an uneven fan-blade pitch and a remote-controlled vane add further significant reductions to air resistance as well.

 Quiet 4-way Cassettes

A new heat-exchanger fin design has lowered airflow resistance, dropping the running noise by 27dB. Operation is quiet enough for a whisper to be heard.

Outdoor Units

 Silent Operation

New fan blade and grille designs enable a larger airflow volume with minimal resistance, cutting operation noise to a minimum. A unique industry-first low-noise mode activates automatically when the outside temperature drops, reducing noise still further, by as much as 3dB.

 Low-noise Priority Function

A low-noise priority function can be used with specially configured systems. A signal from a timer or selector switch activates the quiet operation mode.

 Reduced Refrigerant Noise

An innovative heat-exchange process has reduced refrigerant noise at linear expansion valves (LEVs), maximizes refrigerant distribution to each indoor unit and minimizes pressure loss due to long piping installations and height differences. Not only are systems quieter, they're more efficient.
