The Meizhou Cigarette Factory located in China’s Guangdong Province boasts a production line capable of processing. Built from the latest in advanced control technology in China, the company turned to Mitsubishi Electric to help it with the automation aspects of its tobacco processing machinery.

The factory’s production line employs high-speed network system for control between the line’s PLCs, and the CC-Link open field network is used on the factory floor to allow different devices to talk to one another. In addition, Mitsubishi Electric’s variable frequency drives and HMIs are in place to facilitate control and monitoring of the factory’s operations.

The line started operation in 2000 and was appointed as an official production line model by China’s State Tobacco Monopoly Administration in the same year.
