A bigger-than-life TV viewing experience is in Mitsubishi Electric's DNA.
Starting in the 1980s with the world's first 37-inch CRT television, to the
introduction of 1080p microdisplay sets, Mitsubishi Electric has been
continually refining TV technology to introduce models that set the standard
in home theater. Many Mitsubishi Electric 1080P DLPR HDTVs currently
available feature the only 6-color light engine on the market, which
produces images using six separate colors (red, green, blue, yellow, cyan,
and magenta).
Recently Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America demonstrated a prototype
of the world's first laser-based HDTV (shown above) that utilizes separate
red, green and blued semiconductor lasers to create a completely new look
in large screen television, both in high performance picture reproduction
and sleek design. |
