| Newly developed panel driver (DDP3020) |
| The HC1100's formatter board is equipped with a combined full 10-bit processing I/P converter and scaler, and a 12-bit floating point digital gamma controller. The result is approximately four times the number of gradations of a conventional 8-bit model, so even skin tones are faithfully reproduced. |

| State-of-the-art 720p DMD panel (DC2) provides a high contrast of 3000:1 |
| The HC1100 is equipped with the latest 720p DMD panel (DC2) featuring an expanded mirror operation angle of 12 degrees. This advanced panel's exceptional light usage efficiency provides a contrast of 3000:1. |

| D65 light standard (color temperature: 6500 K) reproduction |
| For more realistic color reproduction of the
visual source, the HC1100 is equipped with a color wheel capable of reproducing
the D65 light standard (6500 K). |
| Brilliant Color™ |
| A new color processing algorithm and system-level
color signal image enhancement processing provide bright, vibrant reproduction
of the neutral colors commonly found in videos and natural scenery. The
three-stage adjustment function further enhances this breakthrough. |
| 10-bit I/P conversion circuit for fewer "jaggies" |
| A full 10-bit I/P conversion circuit significantly reduces noise, for smooth, beautiful images with fewer "jaggies" (stair-like lines). |

| 2-3 pull-down for high-precision conversion of film sources |
| The HC1100 features 2-3 pull-down to significantly reduce "jaggies" in interlace (480i or 576i) movie sources. In addition, the combination of several functions also enables each mode -- either high brightness or high picture quality -- to be easily selected according to the image. |

| User gamma correction |
In addition to the 3 modes of sports, video, and cinema, for times when the normal brightness function cannot address user preferences such as a desire to increase black level reproduction, brighten neutral colors, or suppress highlights when watching a movie, the gamma correction function makes it possible to independently fine-adjust only the black level, neutral color, or white and gradations. |

| HDCP*¹ compatible HDMI*² input terminals |
| The HC1100 is equipped with HDMI input terminals, the next-generation interface standard. Connecting the projector to a DVD player or other device with HDMI output makes it possible to take advantage of the characteristics of DLP full digital processing. Digital processing of all signals with no analog conversion ensures that the image is projected with no deterioration. Color gain control at the time of input is also possible. *2 HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a next-generation digital
interface standard that features additional functions for home electronics,
such as the copyright protection function HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital
Content Protection), while maintaining compatibility with DVI (Digital
Visual Interface) display interface technology.

| Adjustable overscan |
| The overscan rate for images on DVDs and other media can be adjusted between 90% and 100% in one-percent increments (when an HDMI component is connected). |
| Trigger terminal |
| The HC1100 is equipped with a screen trigger that synchronizes raising and lowering of an electrically-operated screen with the projector power switch, so projection can begin at the touch of a button. |
| Vertical and horizontal trapezoidal distortion correction |
| Digital trapezoidal distortion correction corrects screen distortion within ±40 steps vertically and ±25 steps horizontally (one step is equivalent to approximately one degree). |
| Lighted remote control with direct image quality adjustment |
| The image quality can be directly adjusted via the remote control. The remote control is lighted for easy operation even in a dark room. |
