We are proud to announce that Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (President and CEO Tamotsu Nomakuchi) has been presented 2003 Supplier of the Year Award by the Boeing Company of the U.S. The award ceremony was held in the evening of March 31 (US Pacific time) in Seattle's Columbia Tower with Chairman Ichiro Taniguchi attending the ceremonies. Supplier of the Year Award is presented every year to handful of suppliers (selected from over 500 suppliers of the Boeing Company) who have given significant contribution in regards to on time delivery and quality development. Mitsubishi Electric was commended for their efforts in tailoring to Boeing's needs for on time completion of development of the NGA (Next Generation Antenna using Ku band satellite communication system for Connexion. In a short span of 18 months, Mitsubishi Electric succeeded not only in the development / production of the NGA but also in its quality control and delivery.
The NGA is a key subsystem for "Connexion by Boeing" an in-flight broadband satellite / internet communication service.

Fruit of this development will not only confined Connexion by Boeing but it will also be utilized in such applications of broadband satellite communication for marine vessels as well as ground terminal.
