| Satellites can offer what other communications channels cannot: they can transmit huge volumes of information to multiple locations simultaneously. Making full use of this potential, our initiative dynamically integrates different types of satellites — geostationary, observational, GPS and quasi-geostationary (which promises to be extremely effective for mobile communications). We have devised this new information infrastructure, naming it space-based IT infrastructure. It aims to create a new global network, exploiting the expertise and experience that only Mitsubishi Electric can offer. |
