VoIP Solution-based IP-CME PX-100s

Mitsubishi Electric is pleased to introduce a new VoIP solution, the IP-CME PX-100S, which maintains carrier-grade voice quality, controls the bandwidth of the bearer IP network, and provides sophisticated operation services.

Main Functions & Features

  • Total VoIP System

Mitsubishi Electric can supply total VoIP systems (i.e. SIP servers, IP telephone terminals, etc.), and can deliver more comfortable VoIP communication using voice codec and channel multiplex techniques in PX-100S for thin networks such as those employed in satellite communications.

  • Channel Multiplex

With the channel multiplex function, multiple packets of the same direction are transmitted in a unique packet, dramatically reducing the total number of IP packets, and eliminating packet loss in routers. This function helps maintain a high voice QoS.

  • Rich PBX Functions

The PX-100S has rich PBX functionality such as parking, transferring, grouping, short dial, telephone conference, and more.

  • 4 kbps Toll Quality Voice Codec

Mitsubishi Electric’s voice codec is highly acclaimed by international carriers. The technology ensures efficient and high-quality VoIP operation.

  • Session Control

The PX-100S has SIP server functions, including proxy server, redirect server and registrar server.

  • Solution to NAT / Firewall Problem

The media proxy function of the PX-100S operates VoIP in a NAT / Firewall configuration.

  • Control of Bearer Bandwidth

The PX-100S calculates the bandwidth of the bearer circuit. Once the bandwidth exceeds the threshold, the PX-100S cancels the following call. In this way, voice QoS can be kept high.

Benefits of using our voice codec and channel multiplex techniques

Without IP-CME,SIP Server,Without IP-CME,PX-100S,PX-100S

1. Efficient use of bearer circuit

4kbps CODEC

In case of 20 calls: Bearer Bandwidth = around 1.6 Mbps

In case of 20 calls: Bearer Bandwidth = less than 100kbps

VoIP services can be applied at minimal cost to thin networks such as those employed in satellite communications.

2. Reduction of the number of packet

Packet Multiplex

The number of VoIP packets is very high. This causes packet loss in the router, making voice quality poor.

The PX-100S's packet multiplex function can reduce the number of VoIP packets, resulting in lower router load, while maintaining high voice quality.

Maintain high voice quality even in congested condition!!

3. Unification of port number of UDP packet

B2BUA

Nat / Firewall problem often occurs when the packet from the global side is unable to reach the private terminal.

The PX-100S operates as a media proxy with B2BUA function, which helps to solve the NAT/Firewall problem. You need only to set two pin-holes into the NAT router.

Solve the NAT/Firewall Problem!!

4. Bandwidth monitor & control

Bandwidth control

In case too many calls are initiated, some VoIP packets will be lost in the IP network, creating voice clipping.

The PX-100S monitors the bandwidth occupied by output packets. When it becomes higher than the threshold, the PX-100S will limit subsequent calls in order to maintain voice quality.

Control traffic load dynamically!!

Various VoIP services are also available when using Mitsubishi Electric's solution for broadband networks!!
