Unique signal, equipment and control technology

Expertise in earth-station installation brought Mitsubishi Electric many benefits in its signal, equipment and control sections. The company is also active in the world's largest earth stations. It played an important role in the construction of the Nobeyama radio telescope (a 45m-diameter parabola) and the Subaru reflecting telescope (an 8.2m-diameter main mirror) in Hawaii. Technology pioneered through earth stations can also be found in "Connexion by Boeing"SM, an Internet service for airplane passengers using satellite technologies.
