The microwave and oven, all in one
Who would of thought, combining a microwave and an oven into one single unit? It was a combination of technical innovations and the love to integrate products that helped spawn this idea. Japanese manufacturing companies conceived innovations for the microwave soon after the development of the very first microwave in the United States in 1945. They played a subsequent role in helping improve its functionality with functions like the "turntable" that spins the dish in the microwave, or the automatic cooking timer that heats foods at a touch of a button, all still being used in today's microwaves. Together with Mitsubishi Electric's interest to make multi-functional products all played factors in the birth of the Oven Range.
