Superior Sound Quality - The Musician Magnet

So, why was it that these famous musicians chose the X-800 series? It was not only for the revolutionary 32- tracks, but also for the immaculate sound the series was capable of reproducing. Even though the model was based on digital technologies, which is a Mitsubishi Electric specialty, the sound quality depended greatly on the design of analog parts. Therefore, the Mitsubishi Electric technicians were quite particular with the selection of components like A/D converters, power transformers and plugs used in the recorder . Their selection standard was so high that for example, there were times that of all A/D converters purchased, 10% passed qualifications and the rest returned. But this stoicism resulted in an extraordinarily high sound quality that attracted musicians. The X-800 series quite literally dominated the market. The sound created by the series still probably remains in the minds of those musicians to this day.
