Meet the smallest MMIC chip set ever developed, with a built-in
power amplifier, low noise amplifier and phase shifters. The
result of our space systems development endeavors, it greatly
reduces the operational cost of Active Phased Array Antennas
(APAA), as the amplifiers have temperature compensation circuits
and do not require external parts such as capacitors or a
bias circuit for bias tuning, and the phase shifters are capable
of especially high performance. APAAs, which use fast beam
scanning to simultaneously track quasi-GSO satellites as they
speed through space, perform well but are expensive due to
the large number of expensive microwave circuits required
for each antenna. This futuristic tiny new MMIC chip set is
making that a thing of the past.
