Mitsubishi Multimedia
Software "VISUALSHOCK" to Enter the Sales Market
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will
start selling the Mitsubishi Multimedia Software "VISUALSHOCK"
in the U.S. on the coming January 30, 1998.
"VISUALSHOCK" is the package
software adopting Mitsubishi Electric's
original hyperlink** technology, or animation hyperlink technology
for the first time in the world, which is to integrate commercial
software, or any non-in-house application software and will be
applicable to the field of presentation or business education.
In addition, Mitsubishi Electric
has agreed to cooperate with Virtus Corporation (the State of
North Carolina, the U.S.) which reserves excellent technologies
in the fields of virtual reality and real time 3D software. The
combined product consisting of "VISUALSHOCK" and their
Concept 3D modeling software "ConceptCAD" will be sold
in the U.S. as well.
Furthermore, having received inquiries
from ten-odd software vendors, major SI companies, and major re-sellers
in the U.S., the sales/technical department is to open its office
of Mitsubishi Electric America Corp. (Sunnyvale, California) to
offer the U.S. market its distribution system of the package software
business in an attempt to expand sales activities there.
** Hyperlink means relating multimedia data in the form of still photos, sounds,
texts, and homepages of the Internet, etc. irrelevant of their
respective media types. |
