Mitsubishi Electric has developed an All-Fiber Doppler Lidar System (AFDLS) that can see and measure the wind by taking real-time measurements of wind that is not observable to the naked eye.
The AFDLS Unit works by observing the reflected light from a laser beam shot into the atmosphere and taking real-time measurements using coherent laser radar and radar signal processing technology.
