Taste of Japan 2003
Japan's Cultural Legacy
As an integral member of the Mitsubishi Group of companies -- a community of more than 40 independent corporations who share a common heritage -- Mitsubishi Electric has played a major role in the transformation of Japan into a modern nation with the world’s second largest economy.

Although we may be known for some of the highest technological achievements on the planet, we still revere the timeless traditions that have shaped Japan’s distinctive cultural character and flavor.

“Imprints” is a celebration of that culture. It’s a showcase of traditional concepts and artistic treasures that embody the cultural legacy of an island nation populated by a naturally inquisitive and curious people.

Some of the pieces being showcased have been made available by the kind cooperation of the Seikado Bunko Library and Art Museum of Tokyo, a collection of cultural artifacts begun more than a century ago by members of the family who established the original Mitsubishi organization.
